Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Talk the Job ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Service description
Talk the Job is an AI-powered interview coaching application. You record a video response to an interview question and receive automated scoring and feedback. The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial practice purposes.
3. Accounts
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. Each person may create one account.
4. Free trial and subscription
New users receive a 7-day free trial starting from their first completed session. After the trial expires, continued access requires an active paid subscription at $15/month. Subscriptions automatically renew monthly until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial subscription periods.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to circumvent access controls or rate limits; reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the Service; upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights; use the Service to generate content for deceptive purposes.
6. AI-generated content
Feedback, scores, and coaching advice are generated by AI and are provided for educational purposes only. They do not constitute professional career advice. Talk the Job makes no guarantees about job interview outcomes.
7. Intellectual property
Talk the Job and its underlying technology are owned by us. You retain ownership of any content you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process it for the purpose of delivering the Service.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. AI feedback may contain errors or inaccuracies.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Talk the Job shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
11. Changes to terms
We may update these Terms. We will notify you by email of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Geographic restrictions
Talk the Job is not available to residents of the European Union, European Economic Area, or Switzerland. By using the Service, you confirm that you are not located in or a resident of those regions. We do not knowingly provide services to EU/EEA residents and are not currently compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of applicable jurisdiction.
